Things to do when bored with friends and no money usually come down to creating structure around something you would do anyway. Cooking dinner together with whatever is in the fridges, a walking tour of your own neighborhood, a dumb-movie night with assigned snack contributions, or a public-park game of anything — these all turn hanging out into an actual plan. Free community events, library programs, and local open-mic nights also fill a full evening for nothing. The trick is picking one activity before anyone says "I don't care, what do you want to do?" and the night disappears into phones.
